Refined Night works differently than a normal ticketed event — the community funds each night before a venue is ever booked. Here is exactly how it all works.
How does the deposit work?
A $10 deposit per seat reserves your place in your city’s next Refined Night. That deposit counts toward your total ticket price and toward the night’s $1,000 funding goal — when the community reaches the goal, the venue is booked and released. Right now, payment collection is being connected, so your reservation is held at pending status; you’ll be notified when deposits become payable, and your seat stays held in the meantime.
When is the remaining balance due?
The balance (total ticket price minus your $10 deposit) is due at check-in on event night — and only for nights that are funded and confirmed. If a night is never confirmed, no balance is ever owed. Supporter Seats are paid in full upfront, so nothing is due at the door.
What happens if I cancel?
Tell us before your night is funded and your reservation is simply released — since payment integration is still being connected, most reservations today have nothing charged. Once payments are live: cancel before funding and your deposit is refunded; cancel after the night is funded and confirmed and your deposit converts to a gift supporting the ministry night, since the venue commitment has been made based on your seat.
Can I upgrade my reservation later?
Yes. Any standard reservation can be upgraded to a Supporter Seat before event night — just submit a new reservation choosing Supporter Seat with the same name and email, and note “upgrade” in the prayer/comments field. Your original deposit applies toward the Supporter price. Upgrading unlocks priority check-in, the Supporter badge, and your personal invite link with rewards.
How does venue selection work?
No venue is booked until a night reaches its $1,000 goal. Once funded, RRN selects a venue in that city with at least 200-person capacity within the approved cost range. The moment it’s confirmed, everyone reserved is notified and the page reveals the venue name, full address, map link, parking, and entry instructions.
Why can the venue change — and why is the location hidden at first?
Until funding is complete, only the city is shown — never an address. That’s deliberate: it protects the funding model by making sure no venue deposit is risked before the community has actually funded the night. Because the venue is chosen after funding, the specific building can differ cycle to cycle, but it will always be in your city’s area, and you’re notified the moment it’s locked.
How are events confirmed?
Every night moves through three stages you can see on the calendar: Funding (gold) — reservations building toward $1,000; Funded (green) — goal met, venue being secured; Confirmed (blue) — venue booked, address released, night locked. Your reservation automatically carries through each stage.
How does the music request system work?
The music at Refined Night draws from the Refined Radio library — over 300 original Christian songs across worship, country, EDM, hip-hop, and more. On any page of joinrrn.com, tap the 👍 on the radio player while a song plays to move it up the station rotation — the most-loved songs shape what gets played at the nights. Live requests can also be made with the team at the event.
What happens if an event doesn't reach the required funding?
Nothing is lost. The night automatically rolls to that city’s next 21-day cycle, and every reservation transfers with it. In some cases nearby cities are combined into one stronger night, or a neighboring city hosts — you’re notified either way, and your seat carries forward. If you’d rather not transfer, your reservation is released (see cancellation above).
How do ticket upgrades work?
Supporter Seats ($25–$40) are the upgrade tier: paid in full upfront, priority check-in, a Supporter badge on your ticket, and a personal invite link. Every seat funded through your link is tracked — 3 referrals earns a drink upgrade and recognition, 5 earns a discount on a future night, 10 reaches the VIP recognition tier. Supporter dollars count toward the same $1,000 goal, so upgrading directly speeds up your city’s night.
Are deposits refundable?
Yes — fully refundable any time before your night is funded, and automatically refundable if a night is cancelled outright rather than transferred. After a night is funded and confirmed, deposits become non-refundable because the venue commitment is made on the strength of reserved seats. (Until payment integration goes live, no money has been collected, so there’s nothing to refund — reservations can simply be released.)
Can I transfer my reservation?
Yes, two ways. To another person: seats are held by name — contact us through the site with your reservation name and the new attendee’s name and we’ll reassign it. To another night or city: reservations transfer automatically when a night reschedules, and you can request a move to a different city’s upcoming night any time before your night is funded.
